Santorini is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan resorts in Greece and, indeed, in the world. Its charms are unique: the renowned Caldera, volcanic beaches, the legendary sunsets in contrast with the scenic colors and its natural beauty.
A visit at the end of June, before the peak season starts, promises quiet and a chance to enjoy the true hospitality of the Greek people and top quality services.
We will be staying in a small family-run waterfront hotel in deluxe rooms with air-conditioning and sea views, located on the three mile long beach. The hotel has a private swimming pool and is close to shops, restaurants, and tavernas offering fresh, delicious Greek cuisine and local seafood.
Thira, the main town, can be reached by bus in 15 minutes, allowing amazing views of the sea and neighboring islands. Thira's shops display elegant jewelry and arts and crafts, offering great shopping. Several museums host collections of sculptures, vases, wall-paintings, and rich, diverse pottery styles.
Our hotel inspires rejuvenation with a warm, relaxed ambiance. After morning practice we will enjoy an extensive buffet breakfast in the pleasant morning air next to the pool.
A visit to the scenic town of Ia is a must; located high on a cliff-top, a short hike leads down to a small harbor with a local taverna, a few fishing boats and time suddenly stands still!
There are other trails and places to explore; a private island boat tour on a traditional Greek sailboat visits the volcano and a smaller island, stopping for a swim in the crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea.
This will be an amazing yoga week! The cost of this trip is $1160. This includes your room with an extensive breakfast, double occupancy, (single supplement $1430) and all instruction. Not included are air fare, ground transportation and meals. We will travel as a group or help participants arrange their own air transportation.
Due to limited space, early registration is encouraged.
